02: Korra
I finally got a chance to see the two early-released episodes of The Legend of Korra today. Every good thing I've heard about it is true: Korra herself is a delightful protagonist (and I wish I could see her interact with Toph); I love all of the descendents of original series characters, especially Tenzin; the worldbuilding is fantastic and the jazzy background music really enhances the early twentieth century America feel. I'm less sold on other aspects - the antagonist (and his motives) has only been hinted at, and neither of the potential romantic interests really appeals to me just yet - but overall, it's a really promising start.

You should talk to Kris about this: she'll explode on you with the force of a thousand fan-girls.

It's a little scary, actually, sometimes...

I love the jazzy background music and the characters and the world-building. It's kinda crazy to think about how much the world of Avatar has changed in just +70 years. There's really a whole lot I love and nothing that I can think of that I hate - but, uh, that might change once the show gets going and there are more than two episodes to it. and also I get very teary that pretty much everybody else but Katara is gone T___T but I think that's just one of the facts of life that I'm gonna have to accept. I guess I just really wanted to see old man Sokka (and everyone in their old age too). >;<
