1) You guys know about the Fall Fandom Free-for-All, right? This was the first year I was aware of it prior to it all going down (sad, I know, but I am pretty multifandom event ignorant), so I went and prompted, and have a few prompts picked out to fill myself. Anyway, a few weeks ago someone filled one of my prompts, and it is awesome. It's for Doctor Who, Eleven-era, and basically takes my issues with River and her parentage and all that and has characters actually talk about why things are happening the way they are, in under 800 words. It's called Doing the Right Thing, and if you're into DW you should take a look at it. emeraldsnakes did a great job with my prompt, and the fic deserves more attention.

2) moon_destiny wrote me an adorable little Batman fic based off a silly thing I reblogged on tumblr. It is adorable and makes me smile, and I feel I should share it.

Relatedly: I'm a lot more active on tumblr, if you're looking to hear from me more than once a month or so. Full disclosure, though, I'm also a lot more informal - there are an embarrassing number of posts tagged with variations on "asdfjkl;" and "eeeeee."

3) Novakfest is coming! I am torn between excitement and nerves, particularly because the schedule for posting came out today, and I'm first up! On one hand: yaaay, get my story up early, don't have to worry about forgetting to post weeks from now. On the other hand: oh god, the pressure of going first, it's like I'm in speech class all over again.

If anyone feels like they know Supernatural and the Novak family well enough to give my fic one last once-over, I'd really appreciate it. I'm not trusting myself to catch any changes I make after the first beta read (which I can just tell I'll be making), and I want this to be good.

4) I've still got a few spaces left for wishlist_fic, if you'd like me to write you a fic this December. Leave a prompt here if you're interested!
